Evaluation of Insoles Users' Satisfaction

Abstract

Aim: The aim of this study is to investigate the satisfaction of using custom-made insoles in individuals who are recommended to use insoles.

Methods: Our study was carried out with individuals who designed foot-specific insoles at the Analysis Orthopedics Orthosis Prosthesis Production and Application Center in Düzce. Analysis: Users who applied to orthopedics and had special insoles made for their feet for personal use were retrospectively scanned and 120 individuals were contacted. A survey was sent digitally to 47 individuals who agreed to participate in the study and met the inclusion criteria. The survey sent digitally consists of 3 parts. In the first part, the anamnesis information of the individuals was applied, in the second part, the pain conditions of the insoles users were evaluated, and in the last part, the Quebec Assistive Technology Users' Satisfaction Assessment survey consisting of 12 items was applied.

Results: The order of importance regarding satisfaction in individuals' use of insoles was determined as comfort, usefulness and ease of use (p = 0.02). In the Visual Analog Scale results, a significant difference was found between the pain before using the insoles and the current pain (p<0.001).

Conclusion: It was seen that the most important factor in the satisfaction of using personalized insoles was comfort and that they were effective in reducing pain.
